Nick Carlile

After qualifying as a Quantity Surveyor, Nick worked for various construction companies on a wide variety of housing projects in the North of England. He bought his first property at the age of 19 and continued to invest in residential property over subsequent years, before choosing to move into portfolio building and developing for himself full time in 2004. A little over a year later, he was financially free.

Nick has successfully mentored numerous clients in buy-to-let property investing and self build and development, for which he has written and continues to deliver one of the UK’s leading programmes. In addition to his own property developments, Nick has project-managed many other multi-million pound residential and commercial projects for clients.

As a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor, Nick is able to identify and manage the risks associated with large-scale developments, and is presently involved in the trading of land and property throughout the UK and Eastern Europe, most notably, Romania. As Managing Partner of Platinum Investment Partners, Nick will lead the acquisition and management of £200 million of property assets for the company over the next 12 months.

Outside work, Nick enjoys most sport, especially golf and running. He takes part in the Great North Run every year, along with 50,000 others, to raise money for charity. Nick is 33 years of age and lives in Barnsley with his wife and their young son.
